Oh so, other than really bad editing this book also has blatant plagiarism. A scene so wholly picked from ACOMAF that it’s laughable that the author thought no one would notice.

I keep wondering why has no one noticed the plenty of typos in this book. Too’ instead of ‘To’ ‘Scolding’ instead of ‘Scalding’ The overuse of ‘smirk’ and ‘cocky’ (I mean it’s painfully obvious the author wanted to mimic Rhys but this much smirking is an overkill)
Also “Kitt and I’s upbringing looked very different” Really? That’s a sentence?
How did this pass an editor’s desk…

This book is the written equivalent of a needling migraine on it's way to becoming a massive one. Nothing makes sense. It's as if this was written by someone who hated acotar so much that they wrote an entire book to smear the original.
My OCD will however beg me to finish this, so I shall.

OMW to Hua Cheng, it seems

So far it's dragging. Other than Wrath none of the characters seem to have any three dimensionality to them. The sister? She was barely there for two pages, how am I supposed to connect to Emilia's grief if I didn't connect with her or her sister. Also the writing style so far is too stretched out, delving into long inner monologues which is not befitting a murder mystery pace

I am really having to push myself and I don't know why. I like the characters, the writing...it just feels this story is taking too long to come to a conclusion.
