I'm starting to have conflicted thoughts on this one. On the one hand, I like the chemistry between the main characters. On the other hand, it's starting to drag. Like I'm halfway in and... nothing is really happening? All I have got so far is banter (which I like, don't get me wrong), and Kai mentioning what a bad bad person he is, how dangerous he is... but like, I don't see it?

So... Juliette saw Warner with a puppy, and then she saw him almost naked, and that's all it takes for her to sympathise with him?🤔

So far, the start is really slow. Adam and his blue balls get on my nerves, and I am so done with Juliette's whining. 🙄 Kenji is probably the only one I like in the second book.

Oproti Amerikánke sa to číta rozhodne pomalšie a niekedy sa strácam vo všetkých tých nových informáciach a menách z histórie, ale zatiaľ sa jej darí držať si môj záujem, tak uvidíme. 😄

Zatiaľ je to po dlhej dobe kniha, ktorá ma naozaj chytila. Neviem sa od nej odtrhnúť.

OMG, I AM LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH IT AT THIS POINT!!! It's so cute with a pinch of drama, it's funny and entertaining, and the romance!!! The romance is so pure with a hint of spiciness. And I'm absolutely here for it. I love the friendships, the cultural background of the story, and also how the author shows what it is like to be an idol in Korea and how difficult it is.

Okay, this turned from cute to dramatic so quickly. There are jealous girls, couple dramas, then there's the thing that the two MCs can't really be together... I mean I am entertained!

I am only 19% in but this is already so cute!!! 🥰

The friend group ABSOLUTELY WARMS MY HEART!!!! Seeing Jane living and finding her place, her friends, actually, finding herself and figuring what live has in store for her is everything. The "brunch" they had left me feeling all fuzzy and warm and emotional.

Oh god, I'm already getting emotional. *sniff* I like this one better than Red, White & Royal Blue although I can't really say why. August is great, I loved her from the beginning and I am living for the friend group she's got herself in. All of the characters are so interestingly fleshed out and cool and I myself want to be their friend!!!

This one had a slow start and I wasn't sure it will pick my interest (because lately nothing does) but I'm more and more hooked. It's lile Gossip Girl and One of Us Is Lying? But more serious because it touches on topic of racism... basically everyone is sus to me😄 and the characters are so well-written. There was such a heart-wrenching scene I almost cried on my way home.

Zatiaľ je to dosť zaujímavé, veľmi sa mi páči nápad s tieňmi a ako ich ľudia môžu upravovať a ako ovplyvňujú aj človeka samého, pretože mám pocit, že to autorka dosť premyslela. Páčia sa mi všetky kultúrne narážky ako tik tok, youtube a myslím si, že autorka celkom dobre vystihla dnešnú spoločnosť a ako by sa správala, keby mala prístup k tieňom. Určite to má feeling dospelej fantasy a trochu mi to pripomína Bardugo.

Zbožňujem scény medzi Lakšmí a Samírom! Ale že úplne. Celkovo sa mi to však veľmi páči. Cítiť z toho atmosféru indickej kultúry a hlavná hrdinka a jej príbeh je zaujímavý, preto sa to číta vcelku rýchlo. 😊

Polovica za mnou a ja sa od toho neviem odtrhnúť!!! Už je to nejaký ten čas, čo ma takto chytila kniha a som jej za to veľmi vďačná 😍

OMG I KNEW IT! I TOTALLY SUSPECTED IT AND NOW I NEED TO KNOW MORE.

Like... why am I totally obsessed with this?! The romantic movie version of Paris where everything is beautiful during summer, the cute French guy who offers her to give her a ride on his Vespa, the ballet school, those French phrases *cue French music* This is too good.

Absolutely love:

- Luc and his darkness
- Henry - I just want to hug him
- Addie - she started off as childish and arrogant girl but she clearly matured and I love seeing her change due to the curse
