It's not getting better. The cliches are cringe-worthy. Nancy Drew might have had better writing. The author's motto seems to be, "Why use 8 words when 40 will do." I really do not understand the high rating this book has on Goodreads.

I'm only two chapters in and it's like trying to read a story one of my kids wrote, who got a little over zealous with the descriptive terms and don't know how to start a story or a plot. I'm dying and I have no idea how it can have such a high rating! 😬
