This book helped me clarify my thinking about end-of-life care and the decisions families need to have before it is too late. As the author makes clear, the issues of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide distract our attention from the goals and concerns we share about living a good life that ends with a dignified, gentle death. Not making choices gets us multiple resuscitations and prolonged, hopeless lingering
