Trying desperately to find that sense of escapism through reading

Starting reading this series again due to nostalgia and while I've kind of grown out of the alpha male archetype, the lore of the Silence and PsyNet is so close to the authoritarian rules and fears of surveillance I have these days.

Residency is kicking my butt. All I’ve been reading are academic papers 😭.

1. “What is a chicken?” / “Is a tomato a fruit?” is taught in policy and law basics, and the discussion is nuanced and contextual. There’s books I can recommend on goodreads lol.
2. Anyone sneering at KBJ for answering “I cannot provide a definition [...] Not in this context” when asked to “Define woman” doesn’t understand that her judicial answer actually underlines her qualifications.
