Susan is starting The Sacrament of Happy: What a Smiling God Brings to a Wounded World
I've read this book and recently discovered it on Hoopla, read by the author Lisa Harper. Having read others of her books, including her study on Mark, as well as having heard her speak live, I am excited to revisit this book mostly to hear her contagious love of God and life self read it.

This one I was enjoying via audiobook (which expired). Great word pictures. I will return when I am not juggling as much.

I've got too many study books I am working through, so this one I have set to the side for the moment.

My seventh grader is reading this in her English class. Sure, I saw the old movie, yet have never read the book. I wanted to know what she was reading.

Read through most of this book when I first got it, however am now working through it with study guide & video sessions that accompany book. Definitely changing some of my perspective. Yes, Voskamp is repetitive. Repetition works for me when changing how I need to view this life differently.

Have you ever made a choice justifying it was right, convincing yourself so deeply that you come to living with it without doubting, only to be confronted with the truth of the choice and it's wrongness that was niggling at you in the beginning (that you denied and ignored), to then realize the massiveness of the consequences that you can't even begin to entertain making the whole of it right - that is this story.
