A fun read aloud for scout. She loves books about survival. Yet, we understand why Liza passed out when her teacher read it to her in 4th grade.

I read as a kid but really enjoyed as an adult. When I opened my good reads app tonight it had this CS Lewis quote:
"No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally (and often far more) worth reading at the age of fifty"

"I am rebel, and I get to decide what I do with my one and only life. and if I use it for anything, I'm going to use it for love."

This book is making me and my Scoutie girl tear up! And maybe one of us has been sobbing

Gladiator Story infused with Magic? Okay, Shelby. I will keep going.

It was hard to get into, but now I'm reading it so slowly because I don't want it to end
