Based on the letters of the actual woman who was Eliza Lucas Pinckney, I was intrigued because after doing some research, my daughter discovered she is distantly related to Eliza and she has a portrait of Elizabeth Izard Pinckney, Eliza's granddaughter-in-law, hanging in her home.
