I book I couldn’t finish - while I appreciated the writing I felt that drew out the storyline toooo much. I felt like I was on a slow train to an unknown destination which I wished I could have got to more quickly.

I couldn’t be bothered to finish this one - too ‘airy fairy’ for me.

Couldn’t really get into this book - perhaps I should have read the reviews before I embarked. I couldn’t get my head around the characters as we seemed to meander through their lives without some really storyline/connection or sense of where we were going.

I had trouble keeping the characters and the back to front storyline ‘in order’. I did like the character development and their backstories. I could also believe the tension between the ‘locals’ and the ‘gentry’ in the small community.
