Very enjoyable, funny, quirky and sometimes a little poignant

The release of the 6th Jackson Brodie novel, prompted me to go back and read the whole series of five previous books and what a great pleasure that was.

I am now embarking on this the sixth book in the series and although I am only a few pages in, I already know I am in safe hands. Kate Atkinson’s brilliance is shining already

Have decided to re-read all of the previous Jackson Brodie books, before starting on the latest one, “Death At The Sign of the Rook”.

I had forgotten how poignant Case Histories is. How intriguing the stories are. And how funny Kate Atkinson can be, even in, or particularly in the face of tragedy and loss.

Just begun this, very good reviews and interesting topic, so we will see.
