I just feel like I'm so passionate about E. Lockhart and her books--this book is so so good and I'm only like not even half-way through. I don't want it to end. To me, her books are like Jenny Han books when Jenny writes about summers in RI or the surrounding areas, but I feel like Emily does it better for some reason. This book is making me so happy and I don't want it to end but I must figure out WTF is going on.

God I have MISSED E. Lockhart new books so this is thrilling to me.

Holy CRAP it's like I'm reading a new book by Mark Twain. This is such a revelation. I'm THRILLED.

The female main character is getting on my nerves tbh.

It kinda feels childish?

I love it but I find it a little cheesy? And I also hate it when authors include modern-day references; like there's something that throws me off about how she's mentioning Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. Also she's a little too eager? I prefer the mermaid sub-stories, to be honest.
