If you didn't know otherwise, these events from 120 years ago could be a current day news story about ISIS: "As survivor accounts and eyewitness reports came to public knowledge through the press, the magnitude of the violence committed against Armenian women—rape and torture, abduction, slavery, and imprisonment in harems—appeared to be unprecedented in modern Western history and it affected Americans deeply."

Surprisingly good so far. Poem about Palestinians living under so many different rulers:

Pretty decent story so far. Good characters.

This is so much more than a crime story. This is a first-rate look at the era, civil rights struggle, tremendous upheaval of the late 60s, early 70s. Can't put it down!

3 weeks into the battle. Most of the fighters are gone and bunkers are destroyed. Still fighting and trying to escape.

2 weeks into the battle. The Nazis shooting old people and children off the roofs of burning buildings. Still, the ZOB and ZZW are fighting and inflicting damage.

10 days into the uprising, 12 year old boys taking on armored vehicles, fire, bombs and mass death on one side of a wall...normal daily life goes on the other side.

I am going to read this day for day. Third day in the ghetto and the twin flags of Poland and Zion still fly, 70 years ago.

Excellent history so far, plenty of detail while still moving along at brisk pace.
