adoring this

immediately obsessed

so far lowkey depressing. very good depiction of an insecure, slightly melodramatic teenager tho

the notes on the Potawatomi language and animacy and humor are so cool!

crazy how much some women hate women

lowkey might just watch the movie,,,, writing style is so stilted and awkward!!

hearing about history of the forest service, the apparent need to put out fires in the backcountry immediately and the associated drive for building roads through rural forest. wack

“Love’s austere and lonely offices”… ugh

already a much much better audiobook, lovely narration

v interesting to learn about the iconography of p22. they are talking about frogs crossing roads now! 🐸

“And I don’t know / what might bring peace on earth. But a man / fallen asleep at his desk while revising / a letter to his father is apple blossoms / left lying where they fell.“

And my death is not my death, / but a pillow beneath my head, a rock / propping the window open / to admit the jasmine.
