Love LotR. Really disliking The Hobbit. Kinda want it to be over already.

What a frustrating book this is turning out to be.

Every time it starts to get interesting, it insists on derailing into boring mediocrity. I'll finish it. It's not terrible, but it keeps on getting in the way of itself.

I don't understand how/why this was pushed as hard as it was. It was front display in everything Waterstones for years.

It's not *bad* but I don't get why it was so prolific.

A massive staple in Waterstones, but the reviews aren't kind to this one. Lol

Not as radical as the name suggests.

Some interesting ideas on how to be a better person.

I often forget / take for granted how good King can really be.

The character and world building are great, and easily compensate for the parts I don't like so much. (No spoilers)

Struggling a lot with this book.

I wanted a book on overconsumption, with guidance on how to do better.

I'm not too far in - so there's still time to save it, but the author does his readers a disservice with strawman arguments and oversimplifications to push his worldview.

What a missed opportunity so far.

I'm hoping for one last revelation that ties it all up - but so far, it's falling unfortunately flat.

This is a perfectly readable book, but is a super slow burner.

Blue and Red are nice, 'human connection' stories.
