Lol

I've really slowed down on this book, and I fear I'm starting to lose interest.

Strong start - but either I'm not in the right headspace for it (likely) or it's labouring the point a little.

General reading has slowed down due to work and stress levels. But, I'm making good progress, and most importantly - enjoying a lot of what I'm reading and listening to.

I will go back to light Japanese novels. They seem to be my bag at the moment :D

Nothing like what I was expecting.

Now we're getting to the real meat of the book.

Up until this point, it's been an enjoyable, but somewhat meandering listen.

Audiobook listening for the commute

A little heavy on the astrology for my liking. But I'm liking the actual storylines - kinda routing for one of the characters

Got this on audiobook for the commute into work.

Its alright.

Bought this on kindle. Completely forgot why.

When I finally came to read it, I'd completely forgotten the "hook" - which is kinda mad. NGL.

So far, nice, easy read.

If this book wasn't so short, I honestly think I might DNF it.

I'm sure it's a great read in it's native language, but I fear there's something getting lost in translation.

I like the premise, but I think that this is for people who are truly knowledgeable in Japanese cuisine.

There's so much "food porn" talk - and as a result, a lot is lost on me. I know a little about food - but the ingredients and regional dishes... Just doesn't have the desired result.

We'll see if this changes in coming pages.

My current audiobook for weekday commutes.

Light and surface level explanations on heavy topics, done well.

There's quite a few statements made that are common sense, but the author digs deeper into them, and gives you a better understanding on the "why".

An alright listen. :)

I swear I've read this before.

I know I've seen the movie / aware of it due to pop culture - but I'm getting the overwhelming sense I've finished it before. (I read Magicians Nephew a year or two ago)

Also. Edmund is an utter Muppet.

I've always been curious, and wanted to read all the major holy books.

This will take a long while, but I definitely prefer the NIV over King James.

This is one that I need to think on a lot.

Written incredibly well, but very heavy in tone. Requires a lot of contemplation.

I lost several people within a short period of time a couple of years ago, and I'm still processing everything that happened, and ultimately who I am as a person.

This year I'll be reading a lot more of these types of books as I continue on this journey.

Another great book in one of my favourite genres.

Starting 2026 off strong.
