Loving this one. Strangers has a depth of prose that other Baldacci novels sometime lack because of the thriller structure. Great author, great read.

Loving this one. In the last few years Thomas Perry has moved higher on my list of favorites and so far this one does not disappoint.

Was pleasantly surprised at how much I like this novel. I can not believe how I missed this author. Love the prose and the voice. Very engaging.

Looving this book. I didn't know Koryta had a pen name. What makes great books stand out is the voice, this book has terrific voice that creates the ever elusive Fictive dream. This voice heavily mimics Stephan King. He might even be the next King.

Loving this one. Its a thriller structure with strong transitions at the end of each chapter. There are two story lines one current day and one millions of years in the past.

Loving this book, though it is lacking ( a great deal lacking) in transitions. This makes the story arc episodic. But the scenes are written so well it doesn't matter. I'm all in. The author also favors bursting the fourth wall, interrupting the story flow to make a statement. A bit jarring but still, love love the details, the setting, and colloquialisms.
Just ordered another one of his books.

This is a "Wow alert." Drop what your doing and pick this one up. Stunning. unbelievable craft and character.

Book alert: Drop what your doing and grab up a copy. One word describes this one (so far) and its: Mesmerizing. Love the voice, first person present tense with an absolutely three dimensional character. The voice works so well the character almost feels like your best friend telling you a story.

Heads up to all John Sanford fans. I'm halfway done with this one and it is a full-throated Wow! Could end up being the best Sanford to date and that is saying mouth full.

Beckett is a cop who thinks— and acts— outside the box. While it boosts his close rate on cases it also gets him into trouble with the administration. This latest case is no exception and we find Beckett in hot water with Lieutenant Cordova. A fast paced cop thriller with well developed characters and realistic dialog. I enjoyed this book so much I immediately bought this author’s previous Dave Beckett novel.

Almost done. Best crime fiction of the year and its going to be hard to beat. Harks back to the best of James Elroy with the point of view, clipped sentences and specific two story tropes.

The voice is magnificent. I can tell already this one is going to be a, "Wow."
Another clue is that the book came out in 2022 and the copy I purchased is a 21st printing. Yikes.

Great read.

If you like mysteries, this is a killer read. Its one of those, "drop everything and go find a copy."
Love the voice, the language, the syntax. It has a feel of a hybrid between, Robert B. Parker and Elmore Leonard. (early Parker)

Killer book, has potential to be in the top ten for the year. Great prose and voice.

This one's classic Greaney. Big fan of The Gray Man series.

Can't believe how much I love this one. Terrific beach read.

This guy won three Edgars and no ever talks about him. Love his work. Of course some are better than others. But some are just killer books. It's odd how someone with great novels just melts into the past.
