my thoughts so far are: WHAT A CREEPY NARRATOR. every rihannon bit makes my skin crawl. the nathan parts are great and i'm still going to finish it because of those, but yikes.

only 40 pages in, and there's already a 18yo-looking (but probably ancient) vampire flirting with a 14yo girl!!! NOOOO, I want to /like/ this book!!!!! why why why

I didn't even realize I was rereading it! I don't remember reading it the first time, but I sure am enjoying it a lot the second time around.

I'm listening to the audiobook of this one, and I must say that the Kell narrator is so annoying! It takes so much from the experience >:(

I'm enjoying it! It's a long book, tiresome in a way, but enjoyable nonetheless.

This is so fascinating! Aziz is amazing. I wish I had more time so I could read this faster, but really, it's such a lovely break from all the academic shit I've had to read lately lmao

I'm listening to the audiobook, so I'm not exactly where I am, but I'm assuming sort of around the middle. lol It's... good. Just gives me too conflicting feelings.

Damn, I'd missed reading fiction. And ASKing is one of my absolute favorites, so this has been really lovely so far.

Amy is so right: Tris is one of the most insufferable 'heroines' I've read, along with Katniss. Jesus Christ.

After a slow start, I can finally say I care about these characters. Can't wait to see where they'll go.

As I've watched the movie already, I kind of already know where this is going, but I must admit that caring for Dylan is getting more and more difficult, proportional yo her unrealistically bitchiness. But I like Josh, and the narrative's so light that so far it's fun.

After maybe six years of having read the book, now that I'm rereading it I find that not much has changed: I still find Jordan Belfort's unapologetic and psychopathic narrative as amusing as ever. Oh well.

So I'd been thinking about joining a book club from here. (Or, well, anywhere online) Do you guys have recs?

I'm putting a pause to this; going to read something else, and when I'm done with it, I'll get back to Glen Duncan. The thing about him is: he's a magnificent writer. But I find him pretentious in his writing. So many complex structures and uncommon words. It's tiring.
