I am utterly confused. I've read Water for Flowers and I loved it. Forgotten on Sunday, however, is narrated very poorly or a horrendous book. By chapter 34 I have no idea who is who and what is happening. Sentences and small stories are thrown in left and right, no sense, no poetic building up the story. Just "chairs in a café, he looked at a violin box, Lucian wants Elaine pregnant", that is directly from the book.
