Brilliantly written book, with one long sentence that keeps going and going, moving from one thought to the next with out stopping and following Florian through his life in Kana flowing seamlessly to the future and past moments that bring you in and grab you in this monstrous book that just happens and is not for the lighthearted readers who are expecting a traditional novel with a beginning and an ending,

Had to take a break reading... was bringing me down... the whole mess and the chaos of the first days of the genocide are unbelievable material.. I can see the dilemma Romeo faced and the challenges he was forced to deal with.. great writing and very detailed account of one of humanity's low points....
