Almost done! The good guys vs the bad guys. Who will win?

I am currently on Ch. 11. Before I began this book, I had no idea that it was about a pandemic. I find it really fascinating that Mr. King was able to grasp and put on paper the incredible affect that a pandemic has on culture and society. I am sure my perspective would be different, had I not experienced Covid19.

I really did not like this book. The main character was a serious over-thinker. I stopped reading around the part where his sister was supposed to get married.

I love Crichton’s writing. He keeps the pace going in just not want to drag for long. In this case, I saw the movie before I read the book. So I have some idea of of how it would end, but the book is better than the movie. And the subject matter Is very appropriate for what is happening with complaints of sexual harassment.

Me-balls

I am amused about all the negative reviews submitted by other King followers. This book does not focus on the supernatural. The hero is Bill Hodges, a detective. The villain is Brady Hartsfield, a psychopathic killer. It is a murder/crime novel. I suppose that traditional King fans would be bored. I am loving it.
