Oh yeah, I’m already liking this one. Keith Rosson is one helluva writer!

Cassius, Sevro, and Darrow all back together? This is epic

I’m happy I’m giving this book another shot. My plan is to either finish it by the end of this year, or save a good portion of it for February of 2026 if I know I won’t be able to complete it. It’s always good to get a head start. Anyway, I’m liking the world-building quite a bit. So many systems and planets to keep track of. I like the way Ruicchio talks about the Dark — the vast sea of endless space.

Pausing this for a bit:
• Lysander fighting back against Ajax. Possibly taking Atalantia’s side to continue fighting for Gold.
• Darrow still on Mercury. Planning to escape?? Master Maker Glirastes involved somehow.
• Sevro trapped on Earth with Bone Riders. Lilath Queen of the Syndicate. Vox coupe. Virginia taken hostage.
• Sefi taking mines on Mars. Obsidian uprising. Pax, Electra, Ephraim on Mars.

• This is the most brutal book in the series. So many important deaths played off as nothing. Pierce Brown is not holding back.

• Ephraim is so much better in this book than the last. Hopefully the focus stays on him and doesn’t move to Lyria. I especially didn’t like her in Iron Gold.
