Said I was glad the cast of characters is somewhat tight. Now I’m out here trying to remember names. Still having fun though

Made the decision to buy the physical copy for Gardens of the Moon. Gonna try to finish this before that gets here. I’m intrigued to see how this book plays out. So far I’m liking the dynamic between the two “friends.” I’m guessing we’ll get to the friend part soon enough.

Some fella at the bar just told me he gave up on this book 600 pages in. Dantes, I would never do that to you

I know what’s coming and it’s absolutely bonkers. So excited to get back into the Golden Age arc and see it the whole way through.

I didn’t expect Dantes and Faria’s friendship to be so charming

I got some morning reading done today. So far this book has been entertaining! I love what Dumas had to say about kings being different in that time, comparing them to the Roman emperors who thought themselves “sons of Jupiter.” While the emperors were something almost larger than life, the kings of the 19th century were something more tangible. The return of Napoleon must have been a sight to see.

I honestly should have finished this today but I decided to brainrot instead

Completely blown away by what I’m reading. Not what I was expecting at all.

The shifts in tone are keeping me excited for what’s to come. The wit is good, but the way Sullivan can go from cracking jokes to horror is impressive!

This is the most I’ve read in a day in what feels like forever. This book is fantastic so far.
