So far so good with the romance. I'm so used with FMC that are shy who are not confident that having a confident FMC seems a little odd to me. Nothing wrong with that but I feel like I'm being unconditioned (if that's a word) to stop thinking that she has to be petite white and insecure and somehow insanely beautiful to be the love interest.

So far so predictable. Fast pace

So far mc is doing alright. I'm only there for the murder mystery

I don't like when people on the same team are killing each other just for the sake of it. Especially soldiers. It's so dumb and it takes me out of the story and stop taking anything seriously

So far only Lloyd's speech that moved me. And Eddie. Everyone else is just meh

Some of the dialogs were very boring. Overall interesting story

I think the magic was introduced in a weird way. If there's gonna be elf, why not tell us ahead of time? It's almost like the author wanted to surprise us but it fell flat for me

Still don't care abt anyone. Ben the big black guy with black eyes widow. I thought that was funny

I don't like the author's writing style. She's more like telling like a movie instead of getting into the character's head

Lana has the IQ of a toddler. Why do they keep saying each other's name? Lana Max Max Lana ughh

Conversations are weird. Like the park ave bridge. Nobody says that especially New Yorkers. The word THE in front everything is so cringe

There's a man following that lady and she's way too damn calmnabout it. Still terrible writing at least the scene with the mother wasn't too bad

Terrible writing. Charaters are changing voice speaking differently.

The writing is very poor so far.

It got worse. He got a name for his you know what. And it's Charlie. I'm speechless

I have no words. I thought this book couldn't get any worse. The writing about the intimacy sucks.
