Starting halloween season early this year *eye emoji*

Randomly ran across this looking for an audiobook to last me until my library holds come in and it's such a throwback! Exactly what I'd binge read as a preteen when it originally came out.

Listening to this from the library since I barely remember any of it and it's read by Tim Curry which is... unexpected

Does this get better?? Listening to the audiobook while I work and can't tell if my disinterest is because of the story or because I keep zoning in and out

Found this at goodwill and figured it could be interesting. Glad I didn't spend more than a dollar on it because it's nothing but grammar elitism and snobby complaining about how stupid other people are. I mean??

Six of Crows, but worse

This book is too damn long

I know this is superficial and has nothing to do with the content or any kind of author choices, but the inside layout of this book feels so cheap! The chapter header illustrations look elementary. I think it's the fact that the numbers are literally just "~4~" but in a thicker font.

I'd read this probably 10 years ago when I was an early teenager and wanted to see how it held up. So far, I see why I liked it at the time and why it's praised as a cornerstone of early YA fantasy, but at 23, I'm not enamored :\

Got this out of a bargain bin as a joke but ITS HONESTLY AN ENTERTAINING READ

I didn't realize this book was a series of short stories? I'm enjoying the unconventional twists on fairy tales though even with the hype around fairy tale retellings right now). The audiobook is well done but I wasn't able to listen to it on a plane like I wanted because the accents were difficult to hear :(
