While I like Sadie, I absolutely love Jonah’s POV chapters. The steadfast yearning. 🥺

Andddd now characters are mentioning goodreads and recommending real, recently-published novels to each other and it’s a little too meta 🫠

Of course we are now overtly referencing Anne of GG. Of course!

Not even done with the prologue and I am loving the setup - academic rivals, forced proximity are catnip to me.
But mostly, it’s the Anne/Gilbert vibes:
She has red hair, is orphaned (for all intents & purposes), is quick-tempered, super smart & driven.
He has an unrequited crush, respects & admires her intellect & loves to antagonize her.
Can’t wait.
