I am struggling through this one. It's so dick Tracy. Very mysogenist, painting women in such a bad light. Oh they're trying to give them some credit at least by painting some as intelligent. ( I mean some are even intelligent. ... The men are just so unbelievably infuriating. These cops think they can do whatever they want. Basically no morals. The story is good. I mean it's pretty complete but the characters... Ugh

I have no words for Anne Fraser's amazing writing. She is so in touch with the reality of these events and experiences. Her writing is extremely natural and very easy to read. She sets the tone so realistically, her writing is pure art.

I love Sanderson. He is such a master tale spinner. This one is so amazing. Super funny. "Certain characters" that we know from the universe with a certain amount of wit, come and tell us this story of a princess at heart wearing a commoner skin, her talkative little friend. How she meets certain other characters that we know as well. And some we don't. Her very naive but deep thinking essence is being tested.

I like the reading, the kid certainly has talent. Good penmanship. But I despise grimsby. He is such a whiny character. One that does not belong in that world. He is naive, Mr goody two shoes, questioning people with years of experience, and constantly second guessing himself. Every single page… it’s simply annoying. Do I want to be this, maybe I don’t, … pages and pages full.

These days you can’t even read a book or enjoy a book forum without some entitled Gen Z doing their holier than thou cancellation act. This cancel culture and ridiculous standard holding baritone is just so last week. Widen your horizons, stop polarizing everything! Art is not about politics. You have no shame boycotting regular human beings, but are spineless when it comes to real action and boycotting.

Also wondering how these dragons are so powerful and terrifying yet people think they can push them around. Secondly things need to be discovered. Aren’t being said between the Mc’s like she needs to learn shielding … then why isn’t her wise powerful ancient dragon teaching her? I honestly thought the dragons would become more enfolded with mcs learning but no….

The character is refusing to grow up and realize it’s just not about her. Ewww I hate lying, awww I have to estrange my friends so I don’t lie. The “ bad guy “ in this one has devolved into to a 1 dimensional psychopath. I hate that… and the male character has turned into a whipped boy pleasing his psychotic demanding girlfriend.

Right now I am annoyed and contemplating not finishing. I loved book one, but than book two the main character is ridiculously childish. She complains about her bf not being honest about things he literally cannot discuss, she holds a grudge for something her bf kept secret from her. Not differentiating between his secrets and other people secrets. She whines and yaps about the same thing over and over again
