feeling very emo reading this 🧍🏻‍♀️

reading this after visiting the jacksons’ family home in gary this weekend !! what an experience 🥹

starting this on my bday to bring my inner child joy :)

i knew this book was aged in certain ways but “because she’s female?” is really crazy

okay dropped this book for a while bc i was in a slump and got bored…oops!

but juli and her sycamore tree did get me for a sec there

picked this up at a used bookstore! super excited bc magical realism really does it for me every time

would love to get my hands on a copy with the original (spanish) translations !!!

the girls are fighting…

i didn’t know jennette dealt with OCD! okay twin 🙂‍↕️

but genuinely, the way she writes about it is so spot on, especially with the added element of religious scrupulosity on top
