Nathan is on page 20 of 336 of The Big Bounce (Jack Ryan, #1)
It's petty, but it annoys me greatly that they used the crappy 2004 movie poster as the books cover.

Really enjoying it so far. Great little yarn about a prison work camp escape. Many colorful characters which is always an Elmore Leonard trademark.

The improvement between his first and second published work is quite extraordinary.

I've wanted to read all of Elmore Leonard's works from start to finish for the longest time. Here we go!

I really think this series is long out of steam. You can tell the author is doing everything he can to keep it interesting. At this point, it just feels like tragedy, death, and violence for shock value. Don't get me wrong, a great series overall, but certainly overdue to be put to bed.

I heard this one had a pretty mixed reception upon release. I've been reading Ellroy since around 2005, and I guess I just have to call myself a rabid fanboy. To this day, I just eat up every word and it remains the best crime fiction I've ever read. Loving it so far.
