i'm THIS close to dnfing, the execution is just plain BAD. like, the book is trying to be something so cool but fails miserably. it's giving screenplay, there are no feelings involved, neither for the characters nor for me. i'd rather read a wikipedia page on the world (which admittedly is quite interesting and has potential) than struggle through whatever this is. but i feel mean so i choose to struggle lol

the way donna tartt manages to make the mundane and (seemingly) uneventful look absolutely extraordinary, and the unusual look mundane, needs to be studied. i'm eating this book and her prose UP

la voice actress fait les VOIX des PERSONNAGES c'est INSUPPORTABLE heureusement que c'est un dual pov et que c'est un autre voice actor pour le deuxième narrateur je veux jeter mon téléphone par la fenêtre
