Worth reading. As a descendant and frequent visitor to Ireland, and a visitor to Australia, it was interesting to observe the two cultures side-by-side. Although a Cork native Jean Grainger has become one of the favorite authors of this Tipperary descendant.

I'm a Chicago guy, so it's holding my interest. So far, so good.

Typical Stephen King. Need a wall chart to keep track of all the players and how they are connected. But enjoyable.

Interest is waning; hoping for a dramatic -- or satisfying -- finish. Too many characters and seems to "bounce" around.

Very engrossing -- and enjoyable -- story(ies).

One of the primary characters is so unlikable, I am tempted to put the book aside. But I'll plod on, at least till the 50% mark in another day or so.

Half-way through it; it has great potential and I am anxious to get into the heart of it. It is definitely a book intended for long reading sessions; it is too "broken up" into different phases and it can be challenging to keep it all together if you read in short segments. I usually read late at night and sometimes sleep shortens the reading time.
