What an incredibly interesting read so far. It took the entire first chapter for me to go "what." By the second chapter it turned into "oh! Okay okay.."
And by the 3rd chapter you've basically got the language figured out and feel like a secret code decrypter.
Very intrigued to see where this story is heading?

Interesting book so far, very spooky, just too bad i dont have it in me anymore to sit down and read. Maybe ill pick up the audiobook at some point..

Such a easily read classic, very entertaining and childish in a lovely way. Unlike the og robinsonade (robinson crouse) this was far more entertaining and the real way to write an island story from first person perspective, bravo!

Starts off so incredibly drawn out and boring.. lets hope it gets better.

If this is truly a biography from miss Josephines life i cant help but feel a certain tragedy in her missfortune beeing sold as a "best selling Erotica."

If it is not, then non the less why is it still a best selling erotica! Who reads this in enjoyment, every word i read i flinch and fear for this poor womans life as she tells it how she was used to it as a child from an older womans newfound perspective.

Found a pirate copy online as i will not be buying this, will be reading untill i feel its enough purely out of curiosity HOW so many stores nearby me has this on their shelves proudly as a top seller.
The author wrote Bambi? We'll see if i can ever look at that book the same after whatever this shithole is

The way Emile Zola writes is just ironically so Romantic. It's like i can hear the fire going through his veins as he talks as Therese.

Gud så tråkig. Vilken tur jag hade denna bok hemma från ett gammalt dödsbo, han har säkert andra noveller som är bra men denna var som en snarkning på papper.

Altough im reading the "easy read" version because that's the only one they have at my library, it's quite humerous.

I didnt expect much from this book or author but goddamn did he blow my mind away. These short stories are amazing.. a really well done job at tugging on my heartstrings
