I'm definitely hooked. It's a mix of Fourth Wing and a reverse Powerless.

First off—trigger warnings are absolutely necessary here. This book contains on-page attempted rape, attempted suicide, parental death, child abuse, and spousal abuse.

If I were a quitter, this would be a DNF. We will see how far I get.
