Just wrapped up chapter 1 on audio. I've laughed out loud, had tears in my eyes, felt those chills when something resonates with you or you have such a deep empathetic response that you feel it in your core. This has already been a roller-coaster in all the best ways. I love that Darcy is the narrator. I don't think anyone else could have done his story justice.

DNF. This one wasn't for me.

Trigger warning for anyone considering this one includes a grooming incident, involving Isla's friend's father, that eventually turned into an inappropriate sexual relationship between the father of the friend and the teen girl, Isla.

The topic was written about in a realistic way, in terms of how grooming happens, but it is not a topic I want to read about in a book I read for fun.

This is DNF for me.

The writing style is interesting. I made it about 23% of the way and won't continue. I'm not enjoying the direction of the story line; it's not for me.

I have so many thoughts... I'm not even sure what to feel right now.

I simply read the prologue, and I'm immediately hooked!

It took me a bit to get into this book, but once I did... wow!! There are so many underlying messages. I'm intrigued and looking forward to the rest of the book.
