WTH is happening? I know Pynchon isn't supposed to be easy. Just like with Ulysses or Infinite Jest, you gotta work to understand it. But while I actually enjoyed those, I can't say the same about this one. The writing style isn't as inventive as in Ulysses and the story isn't as gripping as in IJ. So what's left is a bunch of allusions, which, to be honest, I'm not erudite enough to understand. Welp, 50% more to go.
