So close to being done. I just haven't put any time aside for reading this in my free time (except for on my lunch break at my library internship, so about 2 chapters a week :/ ).

Wasn’t sure how I felt about this at first, but I’m starting to really enjoy it :D

This book is taunting me. But actually, that’s what I get for deciding to listen to a romance novel right now lol

I think I need to start listening to mysteries instead.

Not to yuck someone else’s yum. This was interesting. I just wanted to get back to my other audiobooks.

Reading for a library science class in the genre thriller. Last week was mystery, but that book also had some thriller elements, so I guess I’m doubling up a little. Oh well

I just updated the status on another book I’m reading saying I needed a break from romance books, but I might actually try to finish this one. I think the main reason I stopped is because I was reading it on my iPad but on the browser, so forgot about it

I’m really enjoying this. Only reading slowly because I want to savor it lol Also I’ve read 4 other romance novels recently and I need a break from the genre

Hmm…The intrigue has gone up a level

Got this for Valentines Day from the guy I’m dating. Seeing as he had to choose a book for me from a grocery store selection of books, I think he did pretty well :)

Looking at my read books for 2023, I would not call this a particually auspicous year for reading. That said I try not to hold myself too strongly to these GR reading goals, etc. Between academic burn out and keeping up with other things I am comfortable with what reading I did. That said, I just finished one book tonight, why not try for one more in the last two hours of this year!

Part 1 hit me hard emotionally, so I had to take a few days break. Then I started into part 2 and for whatever reason got distracted from it for a while. Oh well I'm back now and back to letting this book surprise me left, right, and center O.o

This book is ok for the most part. There are interesting questions raised about the place of humans in this constructed future. I’ll hopefully talk about it in my review. I the most profound moment imo(I don’t consider this book very profound) was the conversation about memories and how that does or doesn’t make someone human. Maybe that is obvious but it really hit me in a way I hadn’t thought about before.
