3 chapters in & I have QUESTIONS. Why does Bridget desperately need Luce before her wedding? Why is Lucy hesitant to go back? & Felix in that prologue?! Because Carley Fortune had me daydreaming before Chapter 1 even started. 👀🍷🌊

“But the thing about love languages,” Charlie says, “is it’s not just about how we express love, but how we receive love. You need someone to do something for you that makes you feel loved. Someone to help you.”

“You’re cute when you’re mad.”

I stare at him, stunned. “What’s wrong with you?”

“Far too many things to list.” 😏

Okayyyy I am way more invested in the characters than I expected to be.
Their childhood friendship is probably my favorite part so far. It’s so innocent & sweet, & watching it slowly turned into that “wait…do I LIKE my best friend?” kind of crush is giving me ALL the feels.
I came for a summer romance & now I’m emotionally investigating the downfall of a fictional friendship like it’s my full time job.
