I went from ”wow, what an interesting book, and it’s so well written! Yay for authors handling mental issues!” to ”Laura is such a wet blanket of a character - and her alcoholism, co-dependency, agoraphobia and being blatantly gaslighted is just… making me anxious and annoyed”. I’ll DNF this now because I have NO doubt how it’ll end, anyway and I don’t need more frustration and anxiousness, tyvm.
