Had to read a blog summarizing the first two books bc I remember fourth wing but not the plot of iron flame. Mainly just forgot the politics and geography which is like the whole serious plot but now that I’m caught up, it’s good! I guess!

no because LISTEN i LOVE this book so far. Holton’s style of writing is so comedic, it has me giggling and kicking my feet even when there isn’t romance (and oh boy do I feel an academic rivals to lovers brewing). This might be one of my new favorite books methinks

Lil reread before reading the sequel

Doing a reread of a childhood favorite, but an audiobook for these earlier books of Clare’s makes it more digestible at my grown age

Ok I’m still confused about the Sleepers and their magic? The Drowning stuff was explained but I was wholly confused in the first 100 pages because the explanation of the world was slow
