The male narrator is making me so angry. The author really captured the essence of a man who does not understand that he is the problem quite well and also not too on the nose.
He is always the innocent one, but repeatedly crosses the boundaries of the women surrounding him, displays controlling behaviour and explains away his inappropriate or inconsiderate actions. It truly is infuriating to listen to him.

Absolute crude ideas and concepts. Gardening advice mixed with esotheric beliefs and hints of conspiracy theories. It is still mild to some of the things in the later books, but most of the content is still highly questionable, particularly the promise of the cedar tree being able to heal all illnessess and that those are caused by our "technocratic" world.

Only reading this because I'm doing a term paper on the Anastasia movement in Germany, which is being surveiled by the German domestic intelligence services due their far-right ideology. Their ideology is based on the book series and I just want to see what the book is about.

I'm grappling with the question of me not being the target audience or the book just not being that good. I sadly believe that it is both. Still going to finish it though.
