In the 2nd chapter as he's speaking on the criminal case that led to his first campaign run, he explains that the incumbent "had sex with a 16 year old volunteer". This is statutory rape and be called called such. A 16 year old cannot consent to have sex with an adult in authority of them.

Reviewing for use in Comparative Global Family Systems course this fall. So far I'm wishing there were more serious discussion of single parenthood as well as addendums or updates following policy changes on same sex marriage but excited about the comparative qualitative analysis.

I am LOVING this book. So far it’s a brilliant sociological deconstruction of gender wrapped as a funny, honest and touching memoir. In 90 pages the author has already deftly laid out the social construction of masculinity, the toxicity of gender binaries, and the social norms that tie these together.

I'm currently balancing my desire to devour every page of this book with my wish that it would never end. So in love with these characters and this story.

Listening to the audio book and so far so glad I chose this version. Trevor Noah's narration and storytelling is captivating.
