This is my first Jamie Ogle book And so far, I’m loving it. I haven’t read many books regarding early Roman era. So I’m looking forward to this.

I’m supposed to be working on a women's study I’m leading, but I’m having a hard time not going back to this fascinating book during the day. So good!

What an amazing study. There is so much to absorb. The women in our group are enjoying it. I love how Kristi gives us a first century perspective on all she covers in Luke. Snapshots of the life, teachings and travels of Jesus and His disciples, not verse by verse. We love it!

All was going along swimmingly until a Nazi handling Nina roughly told her to shut the f-up.
I was so shocked I turned it off.
I don’t ever find that necessary, no matter how realistic it might have been.

I actually stopped the device when the narrator said nu-cu-lar instead of the correct nu-cle-ar. I had to Google why people say it that way. The explanation is fascinating.

Oh, the tears…meaningful, cleansing tears.

Slow going but fascinating! Only one typo that I’ve seen. Pg 64 should say cheek instead of check.

Goodness. SpWith small printing I’m only 30 pages farther

Still waiting for anything Christian to appear. So far there has been some pretty worldly talk, like "using" a slave out of frustration.

Kaely Quinn is back working in FBI’s Behavior Analysis unit assisting Alex and Donavan in a bizarre death. Whether it was suicide or murder is unclear.

My word, this young countess is just the sweetest thing with the best outlook on life. I’m fearful her dreadful mother-in-law is going to do something to change that!

A fire kills his wife and baby, he goes a little nuts, blaming God, does something so stupid that he returns to church to renew his relationship with his Savior. Meets an Incredibly nice woman who signs up front at church. Somethings coming down the pike. I can feel it.

Reading this at bedtime was a bad idea. Within an hour after finally falling to sleep I woke up twice with a frightful nightmares.
I’m switching to a less stressful book at night, and read this during daylight hours.

Had to quit. Language I don’t appreciate.

What a marvelous book! Love Appalachian culture!
