Finally reading the first book after the TV series… it’s decent.

So far so good… last book from the tv series and starting to see some interesting differences.

So far so good. Anything will be better than book 4🤣

Alright so here we go. Finished booked 4 of The Expanse series… Cibola Burn. This was probably my least favourite part of the tv series, and I thought the book would be a lot easier/more enjoyable to read. Once again, I thought the tv series did a better job overall of presenting the material. The book having Havelock involved was great, but did a worse job of presenting/describing Ilus.

Oh god this one has been a slog. I had a tough time with this season on the tv series as well.

Enjoyed book 3! Onto 4. This particular book/season of the television series was my least favourite. I will see how the book compares!! So far, I’d say the television series did an amazing job of presenting the first 3 books. (In my opinion, the Expanse TV series was more compelling than the books, so far).

Alright… onto book 3. I would say book 1 was a 3.4* for me, book 2 maybe 3.5*. I’ll have to see how this one goes! Avasarala was great in book 2. Missing Drummer quite a lot… maybe she appears in this one. Also more Miller!

Welp. Can’t help myself now… seems that I’m committed to reading an entire series. The TV series did a phenomenal job of rewriting and presenting the book material. How could I not read the second book for Avasarala alone- she didn’t even exist in the first book!

This will be a long read…

I had a whole bunch of DNF reads in the last year. I want to read the entire Expanse series because I loved the show, but the books are sooooo long.Probably going to read David Sedaris’s latest and then maybe delve into Leviathan Wakes. #RememberTheCant
