Not as into this one as the other three Kingfisher books I read this week. The characters just don’t feel as distinct. And the plot feels less plotty.

This is so fun so far!

Oddly hooked on this one more than something’s grabbed me in a while. The tension between the main character asserting herself and others’ expectations of her is really striking me— the difference between being honest to your experience and being what you can sense people expect you to be. Not sure where it’ll go from here, but really enjoying!!

I really want to build back up my reading muscle this year and also get back into fantasy, which I used to love. Enjoying this book so far. The mythic mysteriousness of time, memory, and identity is interesting.

This is a cute, cozy, low-stakes read. My favorite thing about it so far is that I feel it’s loosening the ruts I’ve dug myself into about reading.

This is a great primer on the many foreign policy reasons the US sucks.

Love this so far & kind of want everyone to read it.

My friend Pete did this cool experiment a few years ago where he only read books by women for a year. I think I’d like to do this (at least like 75%) for the rest of the year.
