Tired of the “footman” subplot. Also, I’m annoyed by the MC confusion this deep into the novel! I’m ready for him to get more confident and make some progress. We’re supposed to be solving the murder and the “ don’t know who to trust” thing is annoying me.

Getting antsier and antsier reading this. I’ve seen some people say it’s about the journey and not the destination. lol uhoh!

Ok the Sebastian chapters were really good, but the Collins and Davies chapters were such a bust. I’m getting antsy. The thing truly bothering me now is the fat shaming of the characters. The description of the fat guy was crazy. He’s the only one whose genitalia was mentioned….

I didn’t like the way the grief is being handled. It felt like every single person in her life was making her more and more miserable. Are average people THAT bad in a time of grief? What a depressing conclusion to come to! Grieving ruins your life and you’ll never be as happy as you were before ever again! What a message this book seems to be sending.

I don’t know how I feel about this so far. I stopped listening and reread the blurb like 3 times lol. The other thing I don’t like is that the chapters don’t alternate evenly and they aren’t labeled on the audible.

I KNEW she killed her husband lol of course I didn’t see the possession thing coming though!

I think this lady actually killed her husband and that’s why she grieving so hard. She feels guilty. One of many plot guesses percolating.
