Learning fascinating tidbits about Indian culture.

This is going to be a marathon of an audiobook, 43 hours. I can see why there are people that love it or hate it. I feel that you have to be in the correct mindset to enjoy this book. It’s basically an autobiography that is like how Lin starts in Bombay, “a man without a plan.”

This book, so far, doesn’t have any of the usual elements of conflict or a ticking clock. But it was strongly recommended so…

So far, Pomona isn’t a very sympathetic character that you can root for. But I sense dramatic character development in the near future…. At least I hope.

Love Kate McKinnon’s narration of this audiobook. Yes, it’s a child’s book but it’s entertaining for adults as well. My only wish is that I could download the PDF that comes with it. Couldn’t figure out how to download it from the Libby app nor does it exist just on the internet separately.

I’m very irritated with the book right now, just like the last book did. I’m hoping that it ties up nicely or I’ll be pissed.

I’m struggling with the audiobook narrator change. I really liked Lesley Manville. Fiona Shaw will take some getting used to.

I feel very unintelligent listening to this book. It does t follow the back cover blurb so far. I’m still sticking to it, hoping that it will make sense by the end…
