the book sounds a little pretentious at times and some things are glossed over and worked out a little too easily but overall it's a really enjoyable novel, i really like the details that Rooney writes about the intimacy within the character's relationships, the relationships are the focal point of the book and also the best part. I did find Frances a bit more unlikeable than i expected 🫢 but she's ~complex~
