Only a man who has actually drank like this could write this. Nobody could create the experiences through imagination. Slightly dated by time but definitely not the horror.

Absolute pleasure to read. I'm not some huge fan of Bogie or even biographies and I can't remember how I came to purchase this other than it came out of reading a detailed but non riveting biography of Hemingway . I have to say though this is how a biography should read and 90 pages in I like Bogart more and more. I've two films lined up to watch later. Nice.
