Rereading these before the final book in the trilogy comes out soon.

Checked this out since it was narrated by Tim Curry.

Decided to let this one go back to the library. It’s billed as being “like Room”, which I hated. So, no idea why I thought some knockoff would be better.

DNF.

I don’t like this book but I’m so far in that i don’t want to stop without knowing what happens.

I can’t finish this one. Makes me feel…grimy? Life is too short for books that don’t fit you.

Very good. The more things change…

I’m returning the book after only reading the first chapter or so. My verdict is “Wow, no thank you” to Ms. Irby.

Just started. Not sure I should be reading this knowing the tone and my mood, but it’s been so highly recommended that I have to take a chance on it.

I couldn’t finish this self-obsessed whiny piece of trash. Turned it in to the library early for someone else to gag over it.

Really, just atrocious! ☹️👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

I wanted more backstory of her life/culture and the school with its major impact. The rest of the book was less interesting because I could feel what I was missing. Baru read too flat imo.

I can’t believe I skipped this book when I was reading along the series! Looking forward to it.

Giving up

I gave up on this one. . — js

4+. Such voice and presence Groff’s nuns have! I could see a very tall Vanessa Redgrave possibly as Marie. I was enchanted (possibly by Melisandre 🧚🏼‍♀️).
