I don't know what % I'm at I'm listening to the audiobook. I am in chapter 10. This is our first book club book and HOLY COW this story did not ease us into this story line.

And I was, until the magic woke with the ferocity of a starved tiger and sank its teeth into me like I was a fresh zebra shank.

This is the book I read while I'm working out so progress is low as some workouts I can't hold a book and read.

I paused reading this for a few days because I thought we were quickly careening into a 2nd hand embarrassment with the film interview chapters. Where I am, I skipped a few pages because they didn't feel relevant, and I wanted to move on. I love this author but that was a really fast slump in the story. I'm on or about to be in chapter 7?

This is my gym workout read. I love the characters.

We are hedging closer to 2nd hand embarrassment and I'm trying to see if plot wise I can skip it or need to speed run it.

She could write about a shovel solving murder mysteries in hell or something and I'd read it. This is good, it will be a short read once I sit my ass down and read. But I already like the main character. I do not like reading about werewolves but it is my favorite author sooOOOoo

This book is big in the education world. As someone who works in education I wanted to read it to see what the commotion was. I like being prepared for the pendulum to swing/potential positive or negative impact in the teaching world.

I'm sorry but the implications of girls /gender dysphoria being transmitted through internet use or due to what friends they hang out with?!?! It removes the agency teen girls have over their own choices. This was brought up alongside faking tourettes ... my school promoted reading this as a look into the internet and how kids function in it wtf.

Just a few chapters in and there's a weird amount of scrutiny on social media and girls. With like two about boys. This feels unbalanced and surely there's data/research on the impact of boys and the internet as well.

Also what a stupid break up

Author knows how to write out insecurities that feel real to the character and the situation. But sometimes Grace freaks out at things and I'm like maam...take a breath. Based on her reactions she definitely needs more help to undo what her ex did

I just want to note that this is the most I've cried reading this type of content. I intended to DNF after the last two chapters made me cry. I came back, and now I'm crying again.

I'm on chapter 5? I'm listening via audiobook with another person. Nothing like sitting around listening to it to feel like the old times of sitting around the radio.

I absolutely love this spin off. I wish there was more. Either prequels when they were younger or another novella trio about adventures. Hopefully they don't all die at the end of this book.

These are the first books with shifters that I enjoy. There is the "alpha" situation but no excessive "he/she growled" or overly possessive of people. They're investigating a shifter murder.

Also, her husband's spirit is in a singing fish wall ornament that was popular way back when. In this book, they acknowledge and disregard sexual activities between him in his current state and his wife (main character)

We are changing up our workout days to Sun-Thurs starting Sunday. I'll be finished with my workout read probably by Tuesday depending on how much treadmill time I do

I've enjoyed every book. I read this during gym days. This is the most coziest - like the characters seem more relaxed in their situation. it's .. chilled while we're building up the bigger elements of the story.

I kinda want them to adopt Pontchy...I know it's a sea monster ....and they're trying to figure out why it's there... but water puppy.

The banter is cute enough

It has a nice flow to the way it is written. Some of the language throws me off.

This was okay. I don't know how a Rubber Duckie Shifter sex scene could fall flat. LMAO.
