I hate the bad boy trope, who is a violent jerk with everyone else, BUT not (so much) with the heroine.
Girl... it's only a matter of time. RUN!

Why are we teaching girls that these behaviors are ok???

Many of my Goodreads friends praise this book. We will see... So far, I've found the story boring, the writing mediocre, and the main characters annoying as hell. Hope it will improve. 🤞

Honestly, for a thriller, it is quite boring so far. 😴
I push myself to keep on reading, just to finish it and get over it.

20 pages in and I'm already hooked! Wow!

What's up with the curfew hours? They are two adults, walking around at night... and they risk getting a ticket? Really? Are the laws really that stupid in the USA?

When you're a man who spends time with a childhood friend, who happens to be a woman now... and everytime you meet another man, you become gelous and HAVE to ask her "what do you think about him? Did you ever had a crush on him?" Even your own brother! ...Man, you have troubles!!! That deep insecurity will guarantee a lifetime of misery to you and your partner. Please, find some professional help!

Why is menstruation mentioned so often, but handled so badly?

At first, the FMC is ashamed of buying sanitary pads, like a silly teenage girl, not a grown woman. Then, she casually blurted to the MMC she's going to menstruate soon and again she is embarrassed.

And... on her first day of her period, she starts a bike race!!! What??? When did this turn into fantasy?

Just 20 pages in... and I already want to quit. Who TF wants to kill the angel of death, made of darkness and shadows... with a knife?
This reads like something I would have liked (or wrote) when I was 12.

This is sooo painfully slow... And I really hate the very short chapters. 3 pages long??? Why? I can't get immersed in the story when I'm constantly jumping from place to place.

This is so, sooo bad... But I just can't stop reading. I wanna see how much worse this will get.

After another couple of months, he suddenly wants kids. On the road. When she is not excited about this, he wants to break up with her...for her own good.

This is becoming too stupid to care about!

I can not get used to the female narrator reading the mail part. He sounds... constipated. It's very distracting.
The male narrator does a better job.

So far, it's not my favorite from this author. I'm so frustrated with Kit, that I want to scream! And punch him in his face.

His wife send him to buy some eggs and he dissappears. For 7 years! Without any explication.
And when they randomly meet again he babbles about a job offer he couldn't refuse... WTF, man?

Another fluff audiobook to accompany me while I clean the house.
All I know so far is that she is a redhead, loves books, and she knows how to crochet (or was it knitting?). So... she's basically me, 20 years younger.
I hope this will be fun.🤞

Damn... this book is sad. Well written, but soooo sad.

This book is so fricking infuriating, I want to scream. I can't even fold my laundry properly while listening to this mess...
