Too many plot holes and inconsistencies for one thing. At times, I found this very readable but then also very predictable.
Just because a book deals with an important topic does not make it a good book. In fact, I don’t think the book did the subject matter any favours.

I do not understand the hype.

I learnt a great deal from this book. It certainly opened my eyes to the devastating impact of certain fishing practices, detrimental government subsidies and people’s lack of consideration for the oceans. I found the book a little dry at times.

I am a little afraid of this book but I am going for it!

Page 17 and I think I already love it.

The pace was too slow for me and the characters did not command my attention I am sorry to say. This is more to do with my personal taste though than the authors work.
