I don't think I can take much more of the clueless heroine in this series. She does not act like a thirty year old ex-soldier.

I think I'm burned out on the paranormal romances. They are nice fast free reads from Kindle Unlimited, but I find I'm skipping all the sex scenes and rolling my eyes at the rest. LOL Time to back off for a bit and find a different genre.

I wish GR had a good way to track when you reread a book. Would be curious to see which ones I read over and over and over again. Well, I know, but statistics are FUN!

Alexis Carew series has put me in the mood for a little of Weber's Harrington, Moon's Vatta's War, Huff's Confederation and maybe some Bujold's Vorkorsigan series. Need to find more military/space opera sci-fi adventure series.

OMG! This is a brilliant wonderful opening to a novel. I've already fallen completely in love with the heroine.

Finished Ruby Lionsdrake's story - was the reason I picked up the anthology and I'm glad I did.

Got notification that preordered book was delayed. Thought it was delayed 15 days. Actually delayed for A WHOLE YEAR. *cries*

Kindle Unlimited is good, but it is hard to find good books among the 25 page erotica trash.

I feel sorry for book heroines in paranormal romance. Seems like they are always in mortal danger and need to be rescued. Poor things. LOL

Well, went for the 30 day trial of Kindle Unlimited. Will have to see if will end up worth it.

Has anybody tried the Kindle Unlimited service? I'm sure I could get my money's worth, but would like to get someone's personal experience with it before trying it out.

I don't know why it is taking me so long to just get into this book and finish it. Story is good, but slow to start.

Free Kindle books have led to a couple of decent paranormal romance series this last week. Guess I'll be taking a chance on free books more often now.

Hmmmm, I think I have to reconsider my 75 book challenge for 2015. I thought I was running out of books, but have found some new authors in the past month. Let's see if I can find 150 new books instead.

Reread first book of Vatta's War by Elizabeth Moon. I love that book so much. Just the right blend of competant heroine without being superhuman.
